Responsibilities

Responsible for accounting, information systems and human resources. Accountable for banking, liability insurance, 401(k) plan, health insurance, public accounting and computer maintenance programs.

Managed four person Finance, IT and Human Resource departments.

Reviewed and approved sales contracts. Responsible for bonding and contractual insurance certification compliance.

Accomplishments

Implemented the City of Kankakee Tax Incentive Program into the delivered goods order entry process. This implementation allowed Lippert to charge the Kankakee sales tax rate, saving customers up to 4.25% on delivered products. This process was not only free of additional cost but yields a small quarterly rebate to Lippert.

Responsible for a designing a web based retrieval system allowing PDF copies of  purchase orders, invoices and proofs of delivery to be secured using the internet. The improvement dramatically decreased the days sales outstanding.

Led the team responsible for a system upgrade from a proprietary database running on an AIX Unix platform and upgraded to Windows platform on a SQL database. The upgrade allowed for graphical user interfaces and an open data architecture to allow improved data access. A custom upgrade also improved job entry procedures by interfacing with an industry standard quotation package.

Using the company's SQL data base for the ERP software and the company's payroll services database, created over 100 custom Crystal Reports. These reports were used in nearly all facets of company operation.
