Led team in the design and implementation of cycle counting program. The process increased inventory accuracy and eliminated the need for a year end physical inventory. |

Implemented Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with eighteen manufactures
of inventory. Advanced EDI implementation with largest vendor to Vendor
Managed Inventory (VMI) environment. In all cases additional rebate dollars were generated
and in many cases other vendor benefits were given as inducement for the
upgrade.improvement. |

Led the team responsible for a system upgrade from a proprietary database running on an AIX Unix platform and upgraded to Windows platform on a SQL database. The upgrade allowed for graphical user interfaces and an open data architecture to allow improved data access. A custom upgrade also improved job entry procedures by interfacing with an industry standard quotation package. |

Led team to implement an automated rebuy process. The process used Gordon Graham endorsed modeling creating a more efficient inventory purchasing model increasing turns at a lower operating cost. |
|
To reduce overhead costs, led a team to introduce cycle counting procedures and processes. This change eliminated the need to close for annual inventories and improved perpetual inventory accuracy. |
